County Seeks Applications for 911 Coordinator

Eddy County is accepting applications for a 911 Coordinator. Wages depend on experience. After initial project implementation, hours are estimated to be 4-6 per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble comprehensive database of all public and private roadways and highways in Eddy County; ensure that duplications to existing names do not occur and facilitate the renaming of streets/ roads when duplications exist.
• Annually create, maintain, and track the budget for the 911 system.
• Issue new addresses for the 911 system.
• Implement and monitor the TextMyGov application.
• Send out resident notifications via TextMyGov application.
• Ensure the address and mapping data is updated in the emergency services communication system database and mapping system within thirty days of receipt of notice or request for change as required by NDCC § 57-40.6-10(3).
• Provide for a complete annual review of the emergency services communication system land line database by obtaining current records from the appropriate telecommunications companies.
• Maintain the law enforcement, fire, and emergency service response boundaries for the public safety answering point service area.
• Ensure that the dispatch protocols for emergency service notifications are documented and communicated with all law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services.
• Ability to create a positive and productive work atmosphere by communicating and maintaining a professional manner and a team-like environment with other employees, and members of the public.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with public safety/ emergency services is highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid North Dakota Driver’s License or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma.
