Notice of Joint Special Meeting of the Eddy County Zoning Commission and Board of County Commissioners and Notice of Public Hearings

The Eddy County Zoning Commission (Zoning Commission) and Eddy County Board of County Commissioners (County Commission) will hold a joint Special Meeting on July 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Eddy County Courthouse Courtroom, 524 Central Ave, New Rockford, ND 58356.
At the Special Meeting, the Zoning Commission will do the following:
(1) conduct a public hearing on the Wind Energy Facility (WEF) Siting Permit Application (FTW Application) submitted by Flickertail Wind, LLC for the Flickertail Wind Project (FTW Project);
(2) at the conclusion of the FTW Application public hearing, the Zoning Commission shall make a recommendation to approve, deny, or approve with conditions the issuance of a WEF Siting Permit to Flickertail Wind, LLC for the FTW Project;
(3) conduct a public hearing on the WEF Siting Permit Application (FTW II Application) submitted by Flickertail Wind II, LLC for the Flickertail Wind II Project (FTW II Project); and
(4) at the conclusion of the FTW II Application public hearing, the Zoning Commission shall make a recommendation to approve, deny, or approve with conditions the issuance of a WEF Siting Permit to Flickertail Wind II, LLC for the FTW II Project.
At the Special Meeting, following receipt of the Zoning Commission recommendations, the County Commission will do the following:
(1) make a decision to approve, deny, or approve with conditions the issuance of a WEF Siting Permit to Flickertail Wind, LLC for the FTW Project; and
(2) make a decision to approve, deny, or approve with conditions the issuance of a WEF Siting Permit to Flickertail Wind II, LLC for the FTW II Project.
Copies of the FTW Application and the FTW II Application are available for inspection with the Eddy County Auditor in the County Courthouse during normal business hours.
