Notice of Eddy County Zoning Commission
and County Commission Joint Public Hearing/
Special Meetings

The Eddy County Zoning Commission and Eddy County Commission will meet at 8:10 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026 in the Courtroom of the Eddy County Courthouse (524 Central Avenue, New Rockford, ND) to hold a joint public hearing/ special meetings.

The hearing will be to consider an application from Flickertail Wind, LLC to amend Sections 2.2, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, and 10.1 of the Eddy County Zoning Ordinance and recommendations from the State’s Attorney and Zoning Commission to amend Sections 3.2, 5.1, 7.3, 8.1, 9.0, 10.1, and a to-be-numbered new Section of the Zoning Ordinance.

The hearing will begin with Flickertail Wind, LLC presenting their application and discussing their proposed amendments. Then those present who wish to testify will be given a three-minute time slot to present their testimony in the order in which they sign-in beginning at 8:00 a.m. before the meeting starts.

Following completion of the joint public hearing, the Zoning Commission will convene to discuss the amendments and then make a recommendation regarding the proposed amendments to the County Commission. Immediately following the Zoning Commission’s recommendation, the County Commission will convene to act on adopting, rejecting, and/or modifying the proposed amendments.

Residents that aren’t able to attend or don’t wish to present in person may present written statements to the Zoning Commission and County Commission by mail to the Eddy County Auditor at 524 Central Avenue, New Rockford, ND 58356 by no later than February 27, 2026.

A copy of all the proposals is available on the County website and is available for inspection and copying with the Eddy County Auditor in the County Courthouse during normal business hours.
