Notice of Eddy County Commission Public Hearing
The Eddy County Commission will meet at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in the Courtroom of the Eddy County Courthouse to hold a public hearing. The first three minutes will be reserved for Appellant David Fite to present his arguments. Then those present who wish to testify will be given a three-minute time slot to present their testimony in the order in which they sign-in before the meeting starts.
The hearing will be to consider an appeal filed by David Fite under N.D.C.C. § 11-33-10 regarding the Eddy County Zoning Commission’s recently proposed amendments to its Zoning Ordinances regarding wind turbine setbacks and minimum ground clearance for blade tips.
Residents that aren’t able to attend or don’t wish to present in person may present written statements to the Zoning Commission by mail to the Eddy County Auditor at 524 Central Avenue, New Rockford, ND 58356 by no later than August 29, 2025.

A copy of David Fite’s appeal is available on the County website and is available for inspection and copying with the Eddy County Auditor in the County Courthouse during normal business hours.
