Notice of Eddy County Zoning

Public Hearing

The Eddy County Zoning Commission will meet from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Brown Memorial in New Rockford, North Dakota to hold a public hearing. The first hour will be reserved for testimony in opposition of increased setbacks and minimum ground clearance requirements, the second hour will be reserved for testimony in support of increased setbacks and minimum ground clearance requirements, and the third hour will be reserved for neutral testimony. Each speaker will be given a five-minute time slot to present their testimony. If there is remaining time at the end of all testimony, the floor will open to all parties for closing comments.

The hearing will be to consider amendments to the Eddy County Zoning Ordinances as follows:

• Public Hearing on Amending Zoning Ordinances to Change Sections 10.1.5 and 10.1.6 to at Least Match State Law in N.D.A.C. § 69-06-08-01

 

Residents that aren’t able to attend or don’t wish to present in person may present written statements to the Zoning Commission by mail to the Eddy County Auditor at 524 Central Avenue, New Rockford, ND 58356 by no later than June 10, 2025.

 

The full language of the current Eddy County Zoning Ordinance and State Law is available on the County website and is available for inspection and copying with the Eddy County Auditor in the County Courthouse during normal business hours.
