Eddy County Treasurer and Superintendent of Schools Designee Positions Open

Eddy County is now accepting applications for an Interim County Treasurer. This is a full-time position with county benefits; wages depend on experience. The appointed applicant will act as Interim Treasurer until the appointee’s successor by election or appointment is qualified.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Job duties are outlined in N.D.C.C. 11-14.
• Experience in performing a variety of computer and telephone tasks.
• Real estate background and accounting experience (including reconciling bank statements and investing accounts) is preferred but not required.
• Must have ability to communicate with the public professionally.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check.

Training on the job will be available. Starting date is June 1, 2025.

Eddy County is also accepting applications for a County Superintendent of Schools Designee. This is a less than part-time position salaried at $100/ month. The appointed applicant will serve until the individual resigns or is discharged by the board of County Commissioners.

Job duties include: conducting the annual school spelling bee, keeping school records, restructuring school district boundaries, and more.  

The role of Treasurer and Superintendent of Schools Designee is currently held by one person. Applicants can apply for either or both positions.
